San Francisco Fundraising Class, Sept. 2

AIDS organizers in the San Francisco area may be interested in a fundraising course on Wednesday evenings,
September 2 through October 21. The instructor, Susan Jan Hornstein, is a professional fundraiser with 12 years'
experience. Sponsored by the San Francisco Community College District, the class costs $35.

This course focuses on getting direct donations from individuals, such as face to face solicitation of major gifts,
and special events, membership drives, and direct mail Individual donations account for far more money than foundation or corporate grants -- with much less paperwork required and few strings attached.
