Pneumocystis Diagnosis Delays--Nurses' Statement

Delays as long as 12 days in diagnosis of pneumocystis have become a major problem. Recently the AIDS/ARC Interest Group of the Golden Gate Nurses Association (Region 12 of the California Nurses Association) published a statement on the problem. Their statement may help AIDS service organizations elsewhere obtain more effective (and incidentally less costly) medical services in their localities.
