San Francisco: Virology/Immunology Meeting, October 12-13
A series of technical talks on virology and immunology research, sponsored by several units of the University of California and by the Gladstone Institute of Virology and Immunology, will be given Thursday and Friday, October 12-13, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, at the University of California Laurel Heights Auditorium, 3333 California St. There is no charge for this meeting, but advance registration is required.The meeting is divided into four sections: HIV Immunology Basic Research (Thursday morning), HIV Immunology Applied Research (Thursday afternoon), HIV Virology Basic Research (Friday morning), and HIV Virology Clinical Research (Friday afternoon). All the sections focus on research, not on practical treatment information: for example, the Friday afternoon talks include xenogeneic transplantation, viral dynamics, HIV sequence diversity, and new trends in sexual acquisition of HIV.
