Retroviruses Conference Coverage on the Web
The 6th Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (January 31 - February 4, Chicago) will probably be the most important scientific meeting on AIDS in 1999. After the conference, most of the major AIDS treatment Web sites will have reports from the meeting. (AIDS Treatment News provides links to many of these sites at http://www.aidsnews.org; click on 'Major AIDS treatment sites'.)A few sites may have rapid reports during the conference. We do not have a complete list, but check these:
http://www.hivandhepatitis.com (a new site starting February 1),
http://www.natap.org,
http://www.thebody.com
http://www.medscape.com/px/urlinfo (select 'Specialties', then 'HIV/AIDS'; Medscape requires a one-time registration for users to read the articles, but there is no charge).
Searchable abstracts will be available at the official conference site, http://www.retroconference.org.
Also note the telephone conference on February 4 (see announcement in this issue). And AIDS Treatment News will cover the conference in our next two issues, #312 and #313.
