11th National HIV/AIDS Update Conference, San Francisco, March 23-26
This annual conference--organized this year by the American Foundation for AIDS Research, and chaired by Mervyn Silverman, M.D., M.P.H., is intended for "health care providers, physicians, pharmacists, nurses, community-based and HIV/AIDS service organizations, social service providers, mental health professionals, members of local public health agencies, hospital planning and service providers, elected and nonelected community leaders, state and local government representatives, and volunteers and individuals living with HIV and AIDS." Its five tracks are: affected communities; mental health; prevention; public policy; and research and clinical management.
